I could only give this one a two star review because there were only a couple good things about this. First good thing.... They deliver. Second, well unfortunately I really can't remember. We had ordered a sampler platter. The wontons were rock hard to the point that we threw out half of those. The crab Rangoon was sans crab; just cream cheese. The menu for Takee Outee has already been removed from our little binder of menus for ordering in. If you are just wanting to order in without care to taste.... Order away (at your own risk)!

Is change a good thing? It is not when it regards to your favorite Chinese take out place. Few familiar faces in the kitchen disappeared, along with the delicate flavor I had grown to enjoy. The change is a bad news to my hard-to-be-pleased Chinese taste buds. However, to whom it may concern, I meant you, whom adore authentic American Chinese food, Takee Outee shines for you. You will enjoy the refreshing flavor that is bold and heavy. Its brownish color coated stir fry dishes please your eyes. And a pleasant voice without accents at the other side of the phone guarantees that your order of 'house fried rice' flooded with soy sauce. Now what am I going to do?

This is the best Chinese Takeout place in Pinellas county. The dinner specials are a good deal and I've never had anything cooked badly.

Besides the fact it took them over an hour to deliver my food. The food itself was..... Meh..... The general tso chicken was way sweet. It was almost unbearable. They packed everything nice and neat though and the driver seemed nice. I'll probably give them another shot if I'm too lazy to drive to China King

Ordered delivery and am very pleased. Everything was fresh and delicious. New to the area and I think we found our new Chinese delivery.

Not bad. Typical China joint. Hot inside, but okay for take out. Good price and ready in 10 minute!

Hey Takee Outee...I have my own fortune cookies and I opened one for you - it says: "Takee Outee Suckee Assee"! I will say that the young chow fried rice and other fried food were good, but their specialty items (twice cooked pork & Takee Outee special soup) were bland and devoid of any flavor. Worse than that...i thought I'd try their online ordering...after 45 minutes...I thought I'd call and check on my food...she said it will be there in 10 minutes. We turned the porch light off after 2 hours...guess what? After 2 hours...the driver comes knocking on my door...I was pissed, but of course I took it anyway because I was STARVING! This kind of BS service...for bland food like this...is far beyond unacceptable - it's intolerable! Never again Suckee Assee!

For months takee outee has been my go to Chinese takeout, but within the last couple months it has just not been as good.

I wish I could say the food was good but I ordered delivery and the food never came. Even when I ordered it seemed like a huge task to accomplish. If they could only get someone who spoke at least half way English then ordering for delivery might not be a nightmare.

Really short wait time and the sweet and sour chicken, lo mein, and pork fried rice are great.

Not a very good effort at all. Go to China King not too far away if you want good Chinese

Overall not bad. However, as another review said, it was relatively bland. We got the Hunan Beef, Roast Pork and Veg and Shrimp Veg a d all tasted like the same dish. I'm by no means saying the meal was bad and we'll give it another try but I'm guessing the result will be the same. The lack of MSG is probably the reason for the blandness. It needed something.

This is our go-to-place for takeout Chinese. Great flavor and freshness. The food is always hot. Special orders are no problem. So if you just want chicken and broccoli in a spicy brown sauce, it is done.

Very good chinese food! I would say this place is one of the best take-out Chinese places in Tampa bay. Had orange chicken and mongolian beef and both were very good. Comparing to other chinese places, the portion is decent not gigantic like others. They calim that no MSG and 100 % veg oil....i dont know if its true but if it is thats awesome! The lady was very nice too. I have never had a bad meal from this place. If you like Chineses take-out, you must try this place! Too bad I live in St. Pete now and just cannot find a Chinese place like Takee Outee. Sometimes I wanna drive up to Palm Harbor just to go to Takee Outee.

The best chinese food I have ever had in florida. I moved to Florida from new jersey and let me tell you, none of the other places I have ordered from can compare. This is by far the closest chinese food I will ever have that can slightly compare to new York chinese. As far as some people writing that they overcharge or something, yea right! My boyfriend and I order from them almost every week the same thing, and it always comes out to $15.68. The usual wait for delivery is about 25 minutes. Sometimes it takes a slight bit longer because they are busy. Also I always mention their coupon online and get 2 free eggrolls for ordering more than 15 dollars worth! Very nice people and I hope they never close!

Hubby and i have ordered from Takee Outee (the name cracks me up) several times. We did not care for quite a few dishes, but the ones that are a hit with us will keep us coming back when we want those items. Their steamed dumplings are delicious. Nicely filled with a tasty meat blend stuffed into tender dumplings. The dipping sauce is some of the best I ever tasted. The Cheese Rangoon is nicely filled with a tasty cheese and fried crispy. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanies the rangoon is very nicely balanced. The Lo Mein is excellent. We get the Young Chow Lo Mein and have no complaints. A few shrimp, some pork, and some chicken, all tender pieces. The egg rolls are crisp, but not filled to my liking. Not enough pork or shrimp inside, mostly cabbage. The taste is okay though. The fried rice has no taste. I won't order it, but they do a good job with the white rice. They do deliver, but my husband picks it up and we get it home that much faster.

I've been getting Takee Outee ever since I was a kid, back at their old location. I've never had a disappointing meal there. Portions are large, delicious and well worth the fair pricing. Try the Teriyaki Chicken.

Go to Takee Outee. Right now. It's high ratings here are matched by a 95% rating on Urbanspoon, a strong indicator that good things are happening here. You don't need to read anything else in this review, but I'll write it anyway! After 4 years of living in the Pinellas area, I haven't been too impressed with the quality of Chinese takeout places. That all changed tonight. Tonite was good fortune, and I had an outstanding meal on the Chinese takeout scale, and as good as I've had at many sitdown Chinese restaurants in the U.S. It's located in the plaza across the street from Boot Ranch, next to the Sweetbay. It occupies a small storefront, and while there are just 3 small tables for dining in, everything is very neat and clean. Takee Outee has one of the largest takeout menus I've ever seen with over 170 items, along with 40+ combo meals available for both lunch ($4.99 from 11am-3pm) and dinner ($7.48), with fried/white rice and soup or egg roll or drink. The menu includes 5 different egg/spring rolls, 10 soups, and 10 rice choices. They even have both Chow Fun (stir fried wide rice noodles) and Chow Mein Fun (stir fried thin rice noodes), which I don't often find even at sitdown places. It was a busy Saturday night, but it was very well-staffed with about 7-8 people working from what I saw. Service was quick and friendly with food delivery promptly following our order. This meal stood out on several levels. First of all, it's was the freshness of the ingredients. It makes such a difference, and until you've had the impact of those fresh flavors, you really don't think about what you're missing. Two other things are the all-natural flavorings in all of their dishes (such as no MSG), and the use of 100% vegetable oil (no lard, etc). All of those things, as well as the delicate use of sauces on the vegetables and the meats instead of drowning them, all combined to make each bite so flavorful. My standard first meal for any takeout place is chicken and broccoli, egg roll and wonton soup, because they all have few ingredients or a basic sauce. I figure if a place can't get those 4 things right on this test, I'm not confident they'll get the other dishes right. First the wonton soup. All I can say is WOW. For a humble bowl of wonton, it was the most flavorful broth I think I've ever tasted, just a deep, rich broth flavor. Mixed into the broth is some shredded cabbage and slivers of roasted pork, carrots, along with scallions. These dumplings look completely different than any I've seen locally and have a heavily wrinkled appearance. Then inside the dumpling, instead of the flavorless meat morsel usually found there's an honest to goodness tasty meatball, packed with all the herb/spices/flavor you'd expect if you went to your Italian grandmother's house for Sunday lunch. Not that the wonton tastes Italian, but it tastes like it has just as much flavor as your grandma's meatball, and it tastes homemade. I've never gushed about wonton soup in my life, but I found myself saying out loud, "I think this is the best wonton soup I've ever tasted!" The flavor impact of the egg roll was just as great. These tasted fresh, not greasy or hard to chew like so many I've had. It came apart easily in the mouth so you could taste each fresh ingredient. The fried rice was extremely flavorful, with a very short grain that kept it from being sticky or lumpy, and a nice mix of pork, veggies and sauce to add flavor. While there was a good bit of sauce at the bottom of the container, each piece of chicken & broccoli was just lightly coated, letting the full flavor come through instead of the sauce dominating each bite. Clearly a winning meal on every single count. My family member gave her sweet and sour chicken a thumbs up as well. Each piece of chicken was lightly wrapped with a very thin batter, not overwhelming the meat. I tasted the sauce on a bit of egg roll, and I found it a bit sweeter than I like. I couldn't have been more satisfied with my meal on any level. I could have easily spent twice as much at a sitdown restaurant and been just as satisfied. Given the fact I took home enough leftovers for two meals at that $7.48 price took it over the top. I ordered up 2 more egg rolls and a quart of wonton soup to make sure those leftovers were just as great. And that $4.99 lunch price means I'll be back very soon. On my Chinese takeout scale, I give Takee Outee: Atmosphere: 3 Service: 5 Food: 5 Value: 5
